K2 Infragen Bags Rs 262Cr Project Railway Electrification Project from Indian Railways

The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a 2×25 kV AC traction power system, including 220/132/55 kV traction substations, sectioning posts, sub-sectioning posts and SCADA systems. The scope of work covers the Luni (inclusive) to Bhildi (exclusive) double-line section under the Jodhpur Division of North Western Railway.

The order has been awarded to K2 Infragen in a joint venture with Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd., where K2 Infragen is the lead partner with a 74 per cent stake. The project is aimed at augmenting power infrastructure along a key rail corridor in Rajasthan and Gujarat, supporting Indian Railways’ ongoing electrification and capacity expansion programme.

Company officials said the order significantly enhances K2 Infragen’s credentials as a bankable EPC player in railway power infrastructure. With this addition, the company’s order book has crossed the Rs 500 crore mark, providing medium-term revenue visibility.

“This is a milestone order for us as we enter 2026. It positions the company to execute multiple large-value projects simultaneously and marks our transition into a higher league of infrastructure execution,” said Pankaj Sharma, Managing Director, K2 Infragen.
